Greetings and Salutations:
The following was sent to me:
Author: ELAINE T HINSDALE
Created: 06/04/1993
Time: 04:00:00
Subject: 1-800-84-SPACE
F.Y.I.
The Cocoa Beach Area chambers of commerce have set up a toll-free number
1-800-84-SPACE for callers to express their support for the space station
program. Callers' names and addresses will be collected and forwarded to
their
representatives in Congress. In addition, a package of information will be
mailed to the caller.
A series of radio public service announcements will be circulated to 5,000
stations throughout the country promoting the 800 number. The PSAs feature
Fred Haise, Apollo 13 astronaut, Charlie Walker, space shuttle astronaut, and
Tracey Bailey, 1993 National Teacher of the Year from Brevard County.
Please circulate this 800 number to those interested...
Thanks,
Elaine
